Steven Cash Nickerson is a thought leader in negotiation, the workplace, employment, and the economy. Guiding the Dallas-based private real estate investment and management firm Nickerson Stoneleigh, Inc., he also directs a law and negotiation consulting enterprise. Steven Cash Nickerson’s responsibilities include serving as Of Counsel with the Dallas office of Steptoe & Johnson.
Mr. Nickerson’s background spans past roles as Union Pacific Railroad marketing executive and as an Am Law 200 partner. He served as PDS Tech’s president and chief financial officer, and was the firm’s second-largest shareholder before its 2018 sale to AKKA Technologies. He subsequently served as chairman of the latter Belgium-based company’s North American operations. He holds a visiting professorship at his alma mater, Washington University in St. Louis, and teaches business lawyering and negotiation.
A respected voice in his field, Mr. Nickerson has presented on “The Seven Tensions of Negotiation” at TEDx in Hartford. He also gave a talk to NASA employees working on the Hubble Telescope at Johns Hopkins University, on the topic of listening. His published works include The Samurai Listener and A Texan in Tuscany.
